American Association of People with Disabilities

The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is a national cross-disability civil rights organization dedicated to increasing the economic and political power of the more than 60 million people with disabilities across the United States. Founded in 1995, AAPD promotes equal opportunity, economic power, independent living, and political participation for disabled people. AAPD offers programs and advances federal policies that advance the agency of people with disabilities.
