Grassroots Health is a nonprofit organization that uses the power of sports and the platform of student-athlete role models to educate, inspire, and mobilize youth to live healthy lives. The organization recruits and trains NCAA Division I college athletes to be volunteer health educators in middle schools. These athletes facilitate sports-based health education programs during P.E. classes for 10 weeks during each year of middle school. Grassroots Health's curricula use a youth development approach to promote adolescent health, and its core focus areas are mental health, nutritional health, and sexual health.
