A non-profit organization, working to improve intercultural understanding and collaboration between the U.S. and Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region, while supporting inclusive social and economic development of marginalized communities in the region, and particularly in Egypt. For more than 30 years, HANDS has been partnering with local organizations in the region on issues such as economic development (including microfinance and job-skill readiness training for youth), empowerment and inclusion of women and persons with disability, health, NGO and civil society capacity building, and many others. HANDS' exchange programs have been bringing together hundreds of individuals, leaders, and organizations from the U.S. and MENA region.
