Leonne Tanis is a midwife and WHNP with a non-traditional background. In 2018, she left her 15-year Wall Street career at Goldman Sachs and EY to pursue midwifery and reproductive health care. Ms. Tanis wants to use her experience to develop interventions to mitigate stress in reproductive health and improve birth outcomes & healthcare experiences in Black and LGBTQIA communities. Ms. Tanis has an engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MSN from Yale University. She has lived all over the US (except on the West Coast) and abroad in London, England, and Bangalore, India. She currently provides reproductive care to the Native American community in Rapid City, SD.
