The National Trust for Historic Preservation, a privately funded nonprofit organization, works to save America’s historic places. Our mission is to protect significant places representing our diverse cultural experience by taking direct action and inspiring broad public support. The National Trust has field operations across the country where our staff focus on place-based preservation and local, state, and federal advocacy for preservation-friendly policies.
