Our Mission~ To empower homeless women with children to build healthy, stable lives through the development of mental, emotional, and financial stability that leads to self-sufficiency. The Sisters Transitional Empowerment Placement System (STEPS) Program, Inc. Is a non-profit organization that will expand on the temporary crisis model of homelessness intervention that often stops short of providing sustainable solutions to these families in need. Instead, STEPS aim to solve both the immediate problem of homelessness for women and their children as well as the underlying issues that lead to homelessness, by employing a 12 month long systematic, intensive, and nurturing approach that’ll promote healthy stable lives and independency.
