United States Representative Tim Ryan

The US House of Representatives is considered the lower chamber of the nation's Congress, sitting in deliberation on the opposite end of the Capitol from the Senate. Its members are elected to two-year terms. The number of representatives allotted to each state depends on its population as reckoned by the decennial census, but every state is guaranteed at least one congressman. The presiding officer is called the Speaker and is chosen by the members.
