University for Kids H Street Child Care - formerly Kiddie University

At University for Kids H Street - formerly Kiddie University, we view our center and classrooms as a small learning community. We believe in learning through play, and use this early childhood methodology to foster learning in children. We utilize the Creative Curriculum which is an extension of our philosophy and goals for the children. Activities with children aim to be child-directed and teacher assisted. Classrooms are set up to allow children to explore, to question, and to work independently in a group or with a teacher. Play is a tool for learning that helps to formulate healthy relationships with peers and adults.
